About GT TYRES FORRES LTD
GT Tyres was founded in 1977 by Cameron Gordon, along with his brother, Ian Gordon, and brother-in-law Roger Thistleton, (Hence GT), setting up a small workshop at Newmill, near Keith.
The workshop was moved into Keith three years later, branching out to Forres in 1979 and Huntly in 1980. Roger took care of the Keith and Huntly operations, while Cameron ran the Forres site.
The Keith branch was closed in August 2013 and Huntly followed suit in January 2017, concentrating operations in Forres.
GT Tyres was one of the first in Scotland to achieve Michelin accreditation and still holds certified centre status.
Cameron Gordon retired in June 2021 and the company is now owned by a local farming family David and Joanne Philip who intend building on the foundations of the original company.
Our staff are experienced and always on hand to offer the correct advice.
We not only offer an extensive range of tyres but also have a state of the art Hunter Wheel Alignment bay, including ADAS calibration.
The fast fit centre would not be complete without us also offering replacement exhausts, brakes, minor suspension work and batteries.
When it comes to tyres we know what we are talking about!
